Email Marketing · Essex
Email marketing that
drives real results.
Campaigns, automations and strategy for Essex small businesses.
Email marketing consistently delivers a higher return on investment than any other digital channel. For small businesses in Essex, it's often the most underused tool available, a direct line to people who have already shown interest in what you do.
A2 Project plans, writes and manages email marketing campaigns for small businesses across Essex. From a single monthly newsletter to a full automated customer journey, every campaign is written and built personally.

not just sends.

Why email
The most direct channel
you're probably not using.
- —You own your email list. An algorithm change can't take it away from you.
- —Email reaches people who have actively said they want to hear from you
- —It drives repeat business from existing customers, the most cost-effective revenue available
- —For service businesses, a well-timed email campaign regularly generates direct enquiries
- —Combined with social media, it creates multiple touchpoints that build familiarity and trust
Who it works for
Works across
every industry.
Email marketing is effective across almost every type of small business. Trades and service businesses use it for repeat bookings and referrals. Retailers use it to drive seasonal revenue. Professional services use it to stay front of mind with existing clients. Whatever your business, if you have customers worth keeping, email is worth investing in.

FAQ
Common
questions.
Email marketing from A2 Project is £290 per month plus a one-off £500 setup fee. Your email platform, such as Mailchimp, is billed separately and directly by them, typically from around £10 to £60 a month depending on list size. Across the UK, small business email marketing management usually runs between £200 and £800 a month.
For most small businesses, once or twice a month is the right rhythm. Frequent enough that people remember who you are, infrequent enough that they do not start unsubscribing. Automated sequences run separately from that, triggered by what someone does rather than by the calendar.
Yes, and building one properly is often the first job. That means a sign-up route on your website, a reason for people to give you their address, and a welcome sequence that does something useful with it. Buying a list is never the answer and will damage your sending reputation.
Usually Mailchimp, because it is well supported and most small businesses can pick it up themselves if they ever want to. If you already use something else and it works, we will work in that rather than force a migration for the sake of it.
Yes, and for most small businesses it is the highest return channel available. You own the list outright, unlike a social following that sits on a platform you do not control. It reaches people who have already told you they are interested, which is why it converts better than almost anything else.

About
I'm Matt Sladden, founder of A2 Project. I started my career working with small businesses across Southend, across every industry, before moving on to work with household names and consulting for one of the world's leading creative agencies, where I worked alongside huge names in the automotive space such as BMW, MINI and Ferrari.
I now bring that experience back to where it started. Think of me less as an agency and more as your dedicated marketing manager, someone who embeds themselves in your business, understands your goals, and gets things done.
